Tours sur Marne - Vallée de la Marne

Champagne Brisson Lahaye

Brisson Lahaye is an estate that defies categorisation.

Based in Tours-sur-Marne, Laure and Matthieu work with a vineyard spread across several prestigious Champagne terroirs, each contributing its own character.

This mosaic of plots naturally shapes their approach: each origin is regarded as a treasure to preserve rather than homogenise.

Champagnes that are precise, nuanced, and profoundly influenced by the diversity of the terroirs from which they originate.

A domain that defies a singular identity

At Brisson Lahaye, the estate cannot be confined to a single village or terroir.

While the house is based in Tours-sur-Marne, its vineyard extends far beyond, a legacy built over generations. Laure and Matthieu currently cultivate plots spread across the Vallée de la Marne, the Montagne de Reims, and the southern hillsides of Épernay.

This uncommon configuration requires an intimate understanding of each vine, yet offers a remarkable array of expressions.

Turning Diversity into a Signature

Each plot is cultivated for its unique qualities, including its soil, exposure, and character. Pinots Noirs from the hillsides of the Montagne de Reims impart structure and depth, while Chardonnays gain finesse on the most chalky soils, and Meuniers from the Vallée de la Marne express their full richness. Adding to this is a vineyard planted in 1927 in Mareuil-le-Port, a precious testament to the family's heritage and the estate's long history.

This diversity is not a limitation; it has become the true hallmark of Brisson Lahaye.

A range that tells the story of multiple terroirs

This rich diversity of plots enables Laure and Matthieu to craft champagnes with varied profiles, while maintaining a common guiding principle: seeking balance and allowing each terroir to contribute its essence. The blends are conceived as an encounter between multiple identities rather than a pursuit of uniformity.

Brisson Lahaye's cuvées thus reflect the full complexity of the Champagne vineyard. They invite you to explore a multifaceted Champagne, where the diversity of origins becomes a true power and each bottle tells a part of the family history that has shaped this remarkable viticultural heritage.
