The Terroir of Champagne Pescheux

Nestled in the heart of the Côte des Bar, in the Sarce Valley, the family-run Pescheux estate cultivates 6 hectares of vines on sun-drenched marl-limestone slopes. This southern Champagne terroir, more hilly and sunny than the Montagne de Reims or the Côte des Blancs, offers an exceptional environment for Pinot Noir, the region’s emblematic grape variety.

Alongside Pinot Noir, the estate also grows Meunier and Chardonnay, which complement the blends and refine the balance of the cuvées. Ripeness is often more pronounced in this part of the region, resulting in champagnes that are round, generous, and expressive.

A deeply rooted family history

Champagne Pescheux is above all a family story. It began over 50 years ago with Christian’s parents, who laid the foundations of the estate and carried out the first vinifications. Their aim: to pass on a Champagne tradition rooted in respect for time and quality craftsmanship.

Today, Christian, supported by his wife Magali, oversees the domain. Together, they carry on this heritage with dedication and passion. As Récoltants-Manipulants, they personally handle every step of production: from pressing to bottling, including vinification and ageing.

A style true to time and terroir

At Champagne Pescheux, time is an integral part of the style. Each cuvée is aged at its own pace, to offer a balanced, mature, and harmonious wine. A portion of each harvest is kept as reserve wine every year to ensure continuity of style across vintages.

The champagnes signed Pescheux Père et Fils reflect the sincerity of artisanal work rooted in terroir. Round, fruity, and precise, they embody the generosity of the Côte des Bar and the elegance of family Champagne tradition.
