Blanc de Noirs

Blanc de Noirs champagne

A Blanc de Noirs is a champagne made from black grapes with white juice such as Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Powerful and round, the Blanc de Noirs will appeal to those who appreciate champagnes with character.

But why is Blanc de Noirs champagne white?

It's during the production process that everything comes into play: the colouring pigments of the grapes are found in the skin of the berries. To obtain the precious white nectar, the winegrowers use direct pressing: the grapes must be pressed without the skin of the red grapes giving the must (and therefore the wine) its colour. To achieve this, the pressing time must be reduced, and it must be as gentle as possible so as not to burst the berries. Juices extracted at low pressure are also the most qualitative, and therefore the most sought-after to make a quality champagne.

Composed of 100% black grape varieties (Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier), it expresses all its power, its richness and slightly smoky aromas... The Blanc de Noirs stands out by its ample texture, its multiple fruit and spice aromas giving a nice surprise to all tasters. Perfect with white meats, certain game or simply as an aperitif.
