A sunny vintage that has kept all its freshness!

2009 is considered one of Champagne’s outstanding vintages, warm, generous, but remarkably balanced. This magnum of À l’Aube offers a fuller, more nuanced reading of the year, combining ripeness with depth and restraint.

Made from equal parts Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the grapes come from the south/southeast-facing clay-limestone slopes of Noé-les-Mallets at 320 m altitude. This terroir lends both structure and a mineral backbone, helping maintain freshness even in a solar year.

The wine was fermented and aged for 9 months in oak barrels, with partial malolactic fermentation, and was bottled with zero dosage to preserve its natural balance. The magnum format ensures a slower evolution, allowing the fruit to remain vivid while the texture becomes silkier and more refined.

Today, the wine reveals aromas of ripe yellow fruit, especially apricot, with gently integrated vanilla notes and a smooth, generous mouthfeel. The finish is long, textured, and elegant, the mark of a mature, gastronomic champagne with further aging potential.
