A Story Still Being Written

Since the estate's founding by André Chemin in 1948, the house has always moved forward with the same philosophy: building for the long term. Here, each generation builds on the work of the previous one without trying to reinvent what already works.

Today, Eva and Sébastien represent this third generation. They continue the family story with a fresh perspective while preserving the spirit that has driven the estate since its inception.

Evolving Practices with Conviction

Starting in 2015, the estate embarked on a significant evolution in its vineyard practices. The aim is not to follow a trend, but to sustainably preserve a heritage passed down through generations.

This approach naturally led to obtaining the High Environmental Value (HVE) and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne (VDC) certifications, recognising a commitment to biodiversity, limiting inputs, and respecting natural balances.

The Character of a Premier Cru from the Montagne de Reims

Located in Sacy, a Premier Cru village at the heart of the Montagne de Reims, André Chemin primarily relies on Pinot Noir, the emblematic grape variety of this terroir.

The well-exposed hillside allows for the creation of champagnes that are both structured and elegant, where the generosity of the fruit is complemented by a delightful freshness.

These cuvées ultimately embody the spirit of the house: sincere, balanced, and crafted with patience, honouring a heritage that each generation strives to preserve rather than alter.
