Comment

The 2014 vintage champagne cuvee by André Chemin is a generous wine with great freshness.

The 2014 vintage proved to be unpredictable and subject to the whims of nature. It was a very difficult technical challenge for many winegrowers due to a cold and wet year.

The know-how of the André Chemin family, supported by a favorable Indian summer, allowed the development of the exceptional aromas of this unique champagne.

The 2014 vintage has been aged in the cellar for 6 years and is blended with 1/3 Chardonnay 2/3 Pinot Noir from the family's Premier Cru vines.

In terms of dosage, this champagne has a concentration of 4.6g of sugar per litre, allowing it to fully express the aromas developed by an exceptional year.

For what occasions should be served?

This 2014 vintage by André Chemin is a real tasting champagne, and is the perfect choice for an aperitif with your friends.

The half-malolactic fermentation done for this champagne makes it perfect to serve with poultry or with a fruit tart for dessert.

Aspect: Golden robe with a beautiful effervescence of very fine bubbles.

Nose: A floral nose on the attack which dives quickly into a subtle blend of citrus and hazelnut flavors.

Palate: A generous and very fresh palate. You will also appreciate the elegance of melted citrus fruits that finish on lemony pastry notes.

André Chemin champagne in a few words

The vines of this family House founded in 1948 now extend over 6.5 hectares on the Reims mountains and are exclusively classified as Premier Cru.

Eva and Sébastian are the third generation of André Chemin winegrowers, following the creation of the brand 70 years ago, under which the family markets its champagnes.

Located a few kilometers south of Reims, in the small village of Sacy, this family champagne House quietly maintains the traditions that have been developed and tested over the past 70 years.

Year after year, the André Chemin House pursues its quest for perfection through the seasons and the harvest, bringing improvements and novelties in the blends when the need arises and when their passions dictate it.
