A Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru from 2016, combining freshness, tension, and depth thanks to a decade of maturation.

At Louis Casters, the house style is defined by precision and elegance, qualities that are fully embodied in this Vintage 2016 Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs. This champagne is not merely a reflection of the Côte des Blancs terroir, but a true expression of what makes this region renowned: refined, taut Chardonnays of great elegance.

The year 2016, characterised by contrasting weather conditions, resulted in reduced yields but wines of great freshness and vivacity. The generous fruit and lively acidity of this millesimato are present in this champagne, granting it remarkable balance and depth.

Exclusively made from Chardonnay, this Blanc de Blancs draws its finesse and tension from the chalky soils of the Grand Cru villages of Cramant and Chouilly. Vinification in stainless steel tanks preserves the purity of the fruit, while the decision not to undergo malolactic fermentation maintains a rare freshness and vitality.

Aged for ten years on lees, this champagne develops an aromatic complexity marked by notes of dried fruits and brioche, while retaining a refreshing tension. The Brut dosage perfectly balances the aromas without weighing down the wine.

Within the Louis Casters range, this millesimato stands out for its maturity and depth, offering a more accomplished and complex alternative to the estate's blend cuvées. It is a gastronomic champagne that will perfectly accompany your refined meals.

Damery - Vallée de la Marne

Champagne Louis Casters

Louis Casters was founded in Damery in 1899 by Eugène Cadel.

Eugène was born in 1857 and comes from an old family of winegrowers from Damery. He had his Champagne House built at the end of the 19th century in the middle of this village. The House is still located there today.

Eugène's son-in-law succeeded him in 1921, then in 1944, his granddaughter Marguerite and her husband Louis Casters took over the House and created the Louis Casters brand. Another generation took over the business before the current generation, namely Johan, Eugène's great-great-grandson, and his wife Valérie, who pursue the development of the House with passion, combining respect for tradition and modern technology.
