Oiry... we may sometimes forget that the Côte des Blancs is much more than the Cramant - Mesnil-sur-Oger - Avize trilogy. And some winemakers make sure we're reminded of that, and with a bang.
Needless to say, for us this reminder takes the form of a very specific plot: "Sur les Gros Monts".

After Cramant "Le Gros Mont", Hubert Lancelot has signed the second plot Champagne of his range. A 100% old-vine Chardonnay from a 1942 massal selection. A guarantee of tension and concentration.
The vinification process highlights the authenticity of the fruit and its terroir, using stainless steel tanks and traditional fermentation without malolactic fermentation.
Minerality is fully expressed, supported by a delicate Extra-Brut dosage. The typicality of Chardonnay expresses itself through citrus and white fruit aromas, to which are added lightly peppery notes.

We suggest you leave this cuvée out of the fridge for a short time before tasting, it will only reveal its full potential when served at 9-10°!
