MK-157 Minéral Rosé 2020 is an author’s cuvée crafted by Erick Schreiber, a pioneering biodynamic winegrower in Champagne.
In this new cuvée, he continues his long-term work: to precisely express the terroir of the Côte des Bar by creating a rosé of character, designed for discerning enthusiasts.

The name of this cuvée refers to its grounding in the geological history of the vineyard: MK for Kimmeridgian, and 157 for the 157 million years that separate us from the formation of these limestone marls, once deposited by a shallow sea. This soil imparts a unique chalky minerality to the estate’s wines.

The blend of this rosé rests on an original balance: the power of Pinot Noir vinified as rosé de saignée, the chiselled freshness of Chardonnay, the volume and complexity of Pinot Gris, and the floral and airy touch of Pinot Blanc. Four grape varieties, four expressions united in a refined and distinctive Champagne.

51.75% oak ageing imparts richness, texture, and complexity without weighing down the wine.
The Brut dosage (1.60 g/L) defines a dry and tense cuvée that fully showcases the purity and balance of the wine.

On the palate, MK-157 Minéral Rosé delights with its silky texture, fine bubbles, and a long, elegant finish.

For optimal enjoyment, it is recommended to serve this cuvée at 8–10 °C, in a glass that is wide at the base and tapered at the top, allowing it to warm slightly in the glass to reveal all its complexity.

This high-end rosé is perfect as an aperitif, but truly reveals its potential when paired with seafood dishes: crab, lobster, grilled or sauced fish. It also pairs elegantly with more unexpected dishes such as fresh fruits or lightly sweet desserts.
