A characterful Brut, both fruity and distinctive, crafted by a pioneering biodynamic winegrower in Champagne.

Initial Brut is much more than a simple non-vintage Brut: it is the calling card of the Erick Schreiber estate, a pioneering biodynamic winegrower in Champagne.

Sourced from the slopes of the Seine Valley, in the Côte des Bar - the historic cradle of Pinot Noir in Champagne - this cuvée pays homage to the Kimmeridgian terroir, whose marl and limestone soils bring finesse and freshness to the fruit.

The blend perfectly reflects the estate’s identity. Predominantly composed of Pinot Noir, the emblematic grape of the Côte des Bar, it captures all its generosity, fruit intensity and roundness. Alongside it, Chardonnay adds brightness and tension, giving the wine its balance. But it is the presence of Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris - now rare in Champagne - that truly embodies Erick Schreiber’s singular vision: preserving the ampelographic diversity of the vineyard to enrich the aromatic and textural complexity of his wines. These rare grapes contribute subtle freshness, floral nuances, and an original touch of minerality.

Additionally, 34% of reserve wines ensure perfect stylistic continuity from year to year.
Partial oak ageing (25%) on the most expressive base wines brings added richness, suppleness, and depth.

With a dosage of 3.12 g/L, Initial Brut proudly offers an extra-brut style in disguise - allowing the terroir to fully express itself.

Deliciously fruity and generous, this is a Champagne for every occasion: perfect as an aperitif, for celebrations, or to accompany simple and convivial gastronomy.
Enjoy it now, or cellar it for a few years to gain additional maturity.
