This Blanc de Blancs is made exclusively from Chardonnay Premier Cru from the Côte des Blancs. The year proved technically challenging in Champagne, with a very hot and dry summer that could have caused issues without the late rains.

Unlike the rest of Champagne, the Côte des Blancs experienced a very favourable vintage for Chardonnay, which reached perfect ripeness. The year was so successful that many 100% Chardonnays from the Côte were highlighted as vintage wines.

This is the choice made by Alain Poirot, who offers his own interpretation of this superb vintage. Malolactic fermentation was carried out to soften the natural acidity of this Brut champagne.

The result is a slightly evolved champagne, with toasted notes and ripe fruit aromas. On the palate, it displays beautiful balance and a complexity shaped by long ageing. You will be surprised by its roundness, characteristic of its terroir in the southern Côte des Blancs.
