A characterful Blanc de Gris, a rare and unique wine where the boldness of forgotten grape varieties enhances the identity of the Côte des Bar.

With Blanc de Gris, Erick Schreiber signs a true author’s cuvée.
A committed winegrower and pioneer of biodynamics in Champagne, he here asserts a deep commitment to terroir identity and the diversity of Champagne grape varieties.

The name Blanc de Gris, rare in Champagne, immediately signals the singularity of this cuvée: it is a white Champagne made exclusively from so-called "grey" grape varieties - that is, pink-skinned grapes.
In this case, an unprecedented blend of Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc.

These two varieties, now nearly extinct in Champagne, were chosen by the winemaker for their ability to produce wines of great expression, marked aromatic richness, and unique texture.
Pinot Gris brings density, structure, and complex fruity aromas.
Pinot Blanc, an ancestral white variety of the region, contributes freshness, natural salinity, and rare elegance.

Sourced from biodynamically farmed vines, this Blanc de Gris was vinified without added sulphur, to fully respect the energy of the fruit and the vintage.
The wine benefited from a long ageing process: 6 years of maturation on lees, partly in oak barrels, allowing it to gain both depth and complexity.

The Extra Brut dosage highlights the wine’s natural balance.

Designed as a true gastronomic wine, Blanc de Gris is ideal with shellfish, seafood, fish in sauce, or even as an aperitif for lovers of racy Champagnes.
A highly distinctive Champagne, crafted for curious palates and discerning enthusiasts.

This Champagne is an unclaimed vintage (vintage not displayed on the label).
