Erick Schreiber's Blanc de Gris 2015 cuvée is a surprising champagne, with intense and slightly iodized aromas.
Champagne Blanc de Gris, it is made of an extremely rare blend of Pinot Blanc (58,5%) and Pinot Gris (41,5%). Vintage 2015, it is the result of the selection of the best juices of these two grape varieties during the pressing.
Produced without added sulphur and coming from Biodynamic vineyards, this wine has benefited from a slow maturation of 6 years in the cellar and a partial period in cask (42%) before being offered to you for tasting.
Its sugar content (5,23g/l) allows the Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc to express their full potential. From the union of these two grape varieties, rare in Champagne, arises a wine of a beautiful aromatic complexity which will surprise you with its fruity nose with accents of rhubarb, dried apricots and almond paste.
On the palate, it reveals a fleshy and full attack, with intense and slightly iodized aromas.
Excellent as an aperitif, this Blanc de Gris goes wonderfully with shellfish and all dishes prepared with seafood.
A great and unique champagne!
