A characterful Champagne, where aging in oak foudres reveals a beautiful balance.

The Bérat Schenk vineyards are located along the Marne and benefited from optimal conditions, making it possible to craft a promising vintage.

This 2017 by Bérat Schenk is made from the three main Champagne grape varieties:
30% Chardonnay, bringing freshness and floral aromas
40% Pinot Noir, for power and length on the palate
30% Pinot Meunier, contributing fruity notes

The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged for 12 months in oak foudres, with a Brut dosage.

This extended aging results in a Champagne with complex aromas. Notes of white fruits and flowers gradually evolve toward ripe yellow fruits (mirabelle plum and apricot).

On the palate, it reveals great generosity while maintaining a freshness that highlights its potential on the finish.

A truly great Champagne vintage at an unmatched price.

This Champagne is an unofficial vintage, meaning the year is not indicated on the label.

Champagne Berat Schenk

Founded by the grandfather of the current owner, Roger Bérat, the House was established from family land. This family estate has kept its authenticity over the years.

Far from the image of the bigger Champagne Houses, Bérat-Schenk embodies the independent winegrower who contributes to the richness of the Champagne terroir and its traditions. They are amongst the rare winegrowers to still use traditional Champagne presses and oak barrels to age their harvests.

Now in the hands of Roger Bérat and his son Frédéric, the estate probably produces one of the best Blanc de noirs champagnes.
