Cuvée Réserve Demi-Sec

Bérat Schenk Champagne - Réserve Demi

Customer reviews

This champagne of Demi-sec is perfectly suited for an original aperitif. It will allow you to impress your guests' taste buds.

A clever blend of Pinot Meunier (40%), Pinot Noir (40%) and Chardonnay (20%), the Reserve Bérat Schenk cuvee is matured for 2 years in traditional oak barrels.

It is the result of a blend of 3 different harvests: 40% of grapes from 2015, 40% of the 2014 harvest and finally 20% of the 2013 harvest.

An excellent producer's champagne.

Aspect: amber gold, shimmering bubbles

Nose: subtly fruity

Palate: aromas of exotic fruits mixed with almonds

History of the Bérat Schenk champagne.

Created in 1950 from family inherited land, the Bérat House Schenk is located in the heart of the Marne Valley. Today, Roger Bérat (from the third generation), assisted by his wife and his son Frédéric (fourth generation), has taken over the family business.

Far from the image of the bigger Champagne Houses, Bérat Schenk embodies the independent winegrower who contributes to the richness of the Champagne terroir and its traditions.

The use of one of the last traditional Champagne presses and the practice of ageing in oak barrels bear witness to this.

The 4 hectares of vines of the Bérat Schenk House produce an average of 25,000 bottles.

The Bérats have specialized in two famous grape varieties of the Marne Valley: Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. Thanks to these grape varieties, they produce a champagne called "blanc de noirs"...
