The Atypique Sourdet Diot cuvée is a wine of very good maturity combining finesse and power.

This Brut Champagne "Blanc de blancs" (100% Chardonnay) has the particularity of being aged in oak barrels. This technique, which has almost disappeared in Champagne, is now being put forward by a handful of winegrowers in search of new flavors.

The use of the oak barrel gives more flavors to the champagnes and allows them to accompany a meal more easily than a traditional Champagne.

Champagne Sourdet Diot

The origins of the Sourdet Diot House, located in the village of La Chapelle-Monthodon, date back to the 1960s. At that time, the family sold all their grapes to other famous Houses in Champagne.
It was only in 1980 that Patrick and Nadine Sourdet decided to develop and bottle their own champagne. From then on, the Sourdet Diot House used the entirety of its harvest to assemble its champagnes, earning it the title of Handling Harvesting Winemaker.
Today, Patrick and Damien work together to make Sourdet Diot champagnes.
