One parcel, one vintage, the full personality of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger.

Not every year deserves to become a vintage Champagne. When a house makes that choice, it is to capture the character of a single harvest and allow a terroir to express itself without compromise.

This cuvée comes exclusively from the Les Coullemets parcel in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and from the 2017 harvest alone. This approach reveals the identity of this Grand Cru terroir with remarkable precision, free from the influence of other vintages or vineyard parcels.

The vinification further reinforces this pursuit of precision. Two-thirds of the wines are aged in oak barrels to bring texture and complexity, while the remaining third is kept in stainless steel tanks to preserve the full freshness of the Chardonnay. After more than four years of cellar ageing, the wine gains harmony while retaining the tension that has made Le Mesnil-sur-Oger so renowned.

The 2017 vintage, marked by an early spring followed by a contrasting summer, produced elegant Chardonnays with excellent ripeness and preserved freshness. It is a vintage defined more by finesse and balance than by power.

Within the Bernard Pertois range, this cuvée occupies a unique position. While the other Champagnes express the house style through blends, Millésime 2017 tells the story of a single place, a single year and a more parcel-driven interpretation of Chardonnay. A bottle for enthusiasts who wish to explore Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in greater depth.

Best enjoyed with a gastronomic meal featuring scallops, lobster, premium fish or poultry in a cream sauce.

LE MESNIL SUR OGER - Côte des Blancs

Champagne Bernard Pertois

Bernard Pertois is the choice of a rare fidelity: that of Chardonnay from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger.

We chose this estate because it does not try to tell every story at once. It defends a simple, precise and powerful idea: to express Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs with integrity, patience and sincerity.

The family has cultivated vines for 10 generations, with a presence in the Côte des Blancs since 1650 and winemaking activity since 1910.

What sets Bernard Pertois apart in our catalogue is this ability to stay focused on what matters most: a great terroir, one grape variety, time in the cellar, and champagnes that are clear, elegant and accessible.
