An unexpected Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs, where Chardonnay reveals its full finesse on a Meunier terroir.

The cuvée “Les Vignes de Trigny” is one of the most original expressions of Fabien Bergeronneau’s work, a winemaker based in Ville-Dommange on the Montagne de Reims.

It originates from parcels located in Trigny, within the Saint-Thierry massif — a terroir historically known for Pinot Meunier. Producing a Blanc de Blancs here is therefore a bold choice: a way for the winemaker to step off the beaten path and explore a different interpretation of this terroir.

Vinification is carried out using indigenous yeasts.

Aging combines stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity of the fruit, along with oak barrels for part of the production, adding structure and complexity. The wine is then aged for 20 to 30 months on the lees before being finished with an Extra Brut dosage, allowing the precision of the terroir to fully express itself.

The result is a Champagne that is elegant, vibrant and distinctive, revealing the full finesse of a Chardonnay grown where it is least expected.

Ville-Dommange - Montagne de Reims

Champagne Fabien Bergeronneau

What makes Fabien Bergeronneau particularly interesting is his very precise reading of his two terroirs, which he works in complementarity rather than in opposition.

Between Ville-Dommange (Premier Cru), which brings tension and aging potential, and Trigny, more generous and textured, he builds wines that are balanced, precise and deeply rooted in their origin.

A new generation that is freeing itself with intelligence, offering champagnes that are more structured, designed for the table as much as for the pleasure of drinking a very good wine with friends.
