Refer a friend programme terms

1. ORGANISER
The programme is offered on the www.champagne-terroir.fr website, in all its languages. These terms supplement the General Terms and Conditions of Sale, which apply to every order placed on the website.

2. HOW IT WORKS
We have chosen our champagnes from winegrowers we meet on their estates. With the referral programme, you are the one who introduces them to the people close to you, and you are rewarded for each of them.

1) You share your personal referral code with someone close to you.
2) Your friend (the “referred friend”) uses it for their first order: they get €10 incl. VAT off when they spend €80 incl. VAT or more.
3) Once their order has been paid, and after a 10-day period, you receive a €10 incl. VAT voucher.

Taking part is free. Using or sharing a referral code means accepting these terms.

3. WHO CAN REFER
Any adult individual who holds a customer account on the website and has already placed an order for which payment has been received can become a referrer. The “Refer a friend” page then appears in their My account area.

– Until payment for the first order has been received (for example, a pending bank transfer), the page presents the programme; the code becomes available as soon as payment is received.
– An order placed without a customer account (as a guest) does not make a customer eligible to refer.
– Business customers take part under the same conditions; all programme amounts are stated including VAT.

4. THE REFERRAL CODE AND HOW TO SHARE IT
The referrer generates their code from My account › Refer a friend, using the “Get my referral code” button. The code is personal and unique; it stays the same unless Champagne Terroir replaces it (article 9).

– The referrer shares it using the ready-to-send message on their Refer a friend page: via WhatsApp, text message, Messenger, email, or by copying it. The message contains the code and the website address.
– The code is intended for the people close to the referrer: family, friends, colleagues. It must not be published on promo code, deal or cashback websites, or distributed through advertising, in particular on the Champagne Terroir brand name.
– On their Refer a friend page, the referrer can follow their referred friends (first name and initial of the surname, order date, referral status), their vouchers and the number of referrals in the current month.

5. WHO CAN BE REFERRED
The referred friend is an adult individual placing their very first order on the website, with or without a customer account. The referral code is declined, or removed from the cart with the reason shown under the “Promo code” field, in the following cases:

– the referred friend has already ordered on the website, with this account or with the same email address;
– the delivery address is the referrer’s, or has already received an order from another customer account;
– the phone number of the addresses in the cart is the referrer’s, or is already linked to another customer account that has placed an order;
– the customer is using their own code;
– the referrer has reached their monthly limit (article 8);
– the code is no longer valid.

The code can be entered before logging in. These conditions are then checked at login, when the delivery address is chosen, and at each step of checkout up to payment.

6. THE REFERRED FRIEND’S BENEFIT
The referred friend gets €10 incl. VAT off their first order when they spend €80 incl. VAT or more.

– The €80 incl. VAT minimum applies to the amount of the products, excluding shipping costs, after promotional prices have been applied.
– The code is entered in the “Promo code” field of the cart or checkout.
– One referral code per customer, usable only once.
– The discount can be combined with the promotional prices shown on the website, but not with another promo code.
– Amounts are stated including VAT, including for customers whose prices are displayed excluding VAT.
– The discount cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash.

7. THE REFERRER’S VOUCHER
For each referred friend whose first order is paid, the referrer receives a €10 incl. VAT voucher.

– The voucher is created after a 10-day period following payment of the referred friend’s order, provided that this order has not been cancelled or refunded in the meantime.
– It can be seen in My account › Refer a friend and in the “Vouchers” section, with its code and expiry date.
– It is valid for 12 months from its creation, with no minimum spend, and is reserved for the referrer’s account.
– It must be used in a single order: if the order is worth less than the voucher, the difference is not refunded.
– It can be combined with other referral vouchers and with other promo codes.
– It cannot be refunded, exchanged for cash or transferred.

8. LIMIT AND CANCELLATIONS
A referrer can refer up to 3 friends per calendar month. Beyond that, their code is declined until the following month, as shown on their Refer a friend page.

The referral is cancelled, and no voucher is created, when:

– the referred friend’s order is cancelled or refunded before the voucher is created;
– the order is not paid within 30 days;
– part of the order is cancelled (order shipped by several winegrowers) and the remaining amount falls below €80 incl. VAT;
– the conditions of article 5 are no longer met at the time of the order; the referred friend then keeps their discount;
– the referrer’s account is deleted or no longer meets the conditions of article 3.

A partial credit note on the referred friend’s order does not cancel the referral.

9. FAIR USE AND FRAUD
The programme rewards genuine recommendations between people who know each other. Automatic checks (previous orders, address, phone number, limit) apply each time the code is entered and before payment.

Champagne Terroir may, without notice, deactivate or replace a referral code, cancel a referral, deactivate an unused voucher and exclude a customer from the programme in the event of:

– multiple accounts, fake accounts or self-referral;
– publication of the code on promo code, deal or cashback websites, or distribution through advertising;
– any attempt to obtain the referred friend’s discount or vouchers more than once or improperly;
– failure to comply with these terms or with the General Terms and Conditions of Sale.

A voucher that has already been used is not taken back.

10. PERSONAL DATA
Champagne Terroir, as data controller, uses the data needed for the programme: the referrer’s code, the orders placed with this code and, for the checks in article 5, the orders, addresses and phone numbers of the accounts concerned. This processing is based on the performance of the programme and on the legitimate interest in preventing fraud.

– The referrer only sees the first name and the initial of the surname of their referred friends, the date of their order and the referral status. They never see their address, email or the amount of their order.
– The referrer sends their code themselves from their own messaging app: Champagne Terroir neither receives nor stores the contact details of the people they send it to.
– Data is kept for the periods set out in our Privacy Policy.
– Everyone has the right to access, rectify, erase and object, which they can exercise by writing to contact@champagne-terroir.fr, and may lodge a complaint with the CNIL. Full details are given in our Privacy Policy.

11. DURATION, CHANGES, GOVERNING LAW
The programme starts on 28 October 2026 for an indefinite period.

– Champagne Terroir may change these terms, the amounts or the conditions of the programme, or end it at any time. The version in force is the one published on this page when the code is entered.
– If the programme ends, referral codes stop working; vouchers already created remain usable until their expiry date.
– These terms are governed by French law. Complaints and mediation follow the procedures set out in the General Terms and Conditions of Sale.

The sale of alcohol to minors under 18 is prohibited. Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health; please drink responsibly.
