A cuvée as exclusive in Champagne as it is in our selection.

An elegant, structured Pinot Noir of great concentration, reminiscent of certain wines from nearby Burgundy.

A magical terroir, between forest and stone houses, for a remarkable vintage.

La Petite Marrère Extra-brut (4 g/L) is a parcel like so many others in southern Champagne. A steep slope (over 35% gradient) and an ideal orientation, chosen by the elders after long observation.

This parcel also boasts exceptional soil, identical to the great terroirs of nearby Chablis. That's all it takes to make an exceptional Champagne.

Over the last 10 years, only 4 vintages have been vinified from this plot. The grapes were present and qualitative, but still not enough for our winemaker's standards.

This exceptional vintage was forgotten in the cellar for over 8 years. The result is first and foremost an unexpected freshness, a mineral attack. Then, a balance between power, freshness and length, supported by persistent effervescence.

A rare vintage from a parcel vinified only in exceptional years.

Aspect: Deep, intense yellow, a sign of long ageing, with delicate bubbles.

Nose: The discreet, fresh scent of lilac. The crunch of pear defines a delicate nose.

Palate: After a lively first impression, the wine's texture remains refined, even if sweet spices add complexity. The finish lingers with tension and a chalky edge that adds pep.

Champagne Charles Ernest

A magical land, between forest and stone houses.

This plot is Petite Marrère, a sloping terrain (+35% difference in altitude) which is home to vines over 35 years old. A vine exposed to the sun from morning to evening and soil identical to the great terroirs of nearby Chablis. It doesn't take much more to make an exceptional champagne.

You may have the impression that we are presenting a vintage to you and not its winemaker, well that's normal. Because behind Charles Ernest champagne hides Emmanuel Rigollot, winemaker of the eponymous House. So why this second brand of Champagne?
