Evidence that difficult years often produce the greatest wines, Hardy champagne invites you to discover its interpretation of the 2010 vintage.
Although very promising, 2010 proved to be a very challenging year for the estate's 2 hectares of vines. At the end of a complicated season, the result was very surprising with grapes of excellent maturity, both fresh and fruity.
Stéphane Hardy therefore decided to vintage part of this harvest through this cuvée. It is made with 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir from the Grand Cru terroirs of the Reims Mountain.
The minimum ageing period of 5 years on laths gives this cuvée all the complexity that we expect from a vintage champagne. The Pinot Noir brings structure to the tension of the Chardonnay and is enhanced by a light dosage of 6.5 g/l.

There was a time when the fields mattered more than the vines in Champagne and the Hardy house could have never existed.
Today, Stéphane Hardy, who defines himself as "a minimalist peasant", still wears both hats: winemaker in the morning, and farmer in the afternoon. A true connoisseur of his terroir, this committed advocate of organic farming converted all his fields and vines to organic methods in 2012.
