Anyone as passionate about their region as Hubert Lancelot inevitably ends up looking into its traditional spirits. No surprise, then, but much to our delight, we find here his interpretation of the traditional Champagne ratafia.
Widely misunderstood, ratafia champenois is a sweet, floral and fruity wine liqueur at 18°, produced by blending grape juice from the pressing process with a 94° brandy.
Hubert's signature interpretation is a 100% Chardonnay ratafia from the Côte des Blancs (Cramant and Oiry), vinified in oak barrels for 1 year in a solera.
Those who dislike sugar can rest assured: it's all about delicacy. Punctuated by soft, fruity notes, this ratafia will surprise you along with unexpected food and wine pairings, such as melon and dry-cured ham.
Serve cool (between 9 and 11°C).

Nestled on a hillside, the Avize willage could be considered one of Champagne's countless villages, whereas it is actually so much more. Not only is it an essential terroir for wine lovers, but also one of the 5 legendary villages to be classified Grand Cru in the Côte des Blancs, along with Oger, Cramant, Avize and Le Mesnil.
