The story linking the Gratiot family to the vine is very old, starting in 1657! Since then, eleven generations of winegrowers have succeeded one another on the sunny slopes of the Marne Valley. Each of them transmitted their know-how and their passion, and worked to develop and respect each vine with the aim of producing high quality grapes.
Today, Olivier & Sébastien Gratiot, representatives of the eleventh generation, work 18 ha of vines according to the principles of sustainable viticulture. Their commitment in this direction has been confirmed by the VDC and HVE certifications, obtained during the last two harvests.
Subtle blends of Meunier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir from their different terroirs, from Charly-sur-Marne to Château-Thierry, Gratiot-Pillière champagnes are characterized by their balance, freshness and delicate fruitiness.
